A new year is a perfect time to start and develop good habits. Many of my friends in the community of cloverdale start good new year resolutions such as going to the gym, spending more time with family, reading more books just to name a few. I want to highlight some dental health resolutions for the new year
1. Floss every night
Some patients I treat have never ever flossed their teeth. Some haven’t even heard of flossing. Proper flossing removes plaque and food particles that your brush can hardly reach. If you are not familiar with flossing or want to know how to do it – Contact me by using phone or email found in the contact us page.
2. Brush twice a day
Come on – who are you kidding? I know many patients with very good teeth that misses the night brushing. It is essential that you brush at least twice a day specially after meals. Beginning of a new year is perfect time to stick to this habit and make sure you don’t miss a day.
3. Reduce sugary treats
Many friends and patients I have in Surrey BC, specially the south asians loves to indulge in traditional sweets, candy, dessets and other sugary treats. In addition to lifelong problems like Diabetes, Sugary treats leads to poor dental health causing cavities and other issues. Try to reduce the amount of treats you take and try to replace it with natural treats like fruits and nuts.
I am really pleased with Dr. Sugath’s professionalism. This is my sixth dentist for last fifteen years and he is the best so far. I couldn’t be happier with the Perl Care dental service and happily visit them again.
